Relief for Stress, Anxiety and Tension
Symptoms and Relief to Cope and Manage Stress
Stress is the plague of the twenty-first century. Pressures at work and demands at home leave us feeling tension, anxiety and stress. We feel overworked and unhappy, sometimes even desperate. Stress may be the biggest reason we get sick or die prematurely. Every health problem from headaches to heart attacks, from psychosomatic disorders to stroke can be linked to stress. How did we get so stressed and how can we find relief?
Stress, Anxiety and Tension at Home
The structure of the family unit has changed lately. 70% of us say that it is hard to balance our personal and work lives. Since there are fewer stay-at-home parents, Mom and Dad must squeeze child care in between the demands of work. The sacrifice their personal life and recreation time. Many of you feel required to live perfect lives, in perfect homes with perfect little children. Traffic is hectic and the commute time on the road is longer. 90% of all working adults say they are concerned that they do not spend enough time with their families. At home and at work, we are on-call 24 hours a day. Technology like computers, cell phones, texting, voice mail and email, keeps us always online and in touch. There is never a minute we can truly call our own.
Other problems are on your mind, too. You worry about the expense of healthcare, the responsibility of caring for children and the duty of looking after aging parents. Events of national politics and international violence bring more anxiety into your life. Every day is lived with uncertainty, fear and worry.
Stress, Anxiety and Tension
at the Office and in the Workplace
There’s stress in the workplace, too. Work demands more of our time and more of our attention. While the work crew and office staff are downsized, the workload keeps growing. The company lays off employees to run leaner and meaner. Job security is nonexistent. You worry about becoming unemployed. So you spend lunchtime at your desk, you work longer hours and you take work home. However, your work is not valued at the company, and hardly anybody at work knows your name."
Jim DeSantis presents Unleash Your Hidden Self Improvement Power posted at On Line Tribune | Personal Challenges Blog, saying, "When we look at a certain object, a painting for example – we
won’t be able to appreciate what’s in it, what is painted and
what else goes with it , if the painting is just an inch away
from our face. But if we step back a little further, we’ll have
a clearer vision of the whole art work. This is the way we
view ourselves. We are too close to see the real meaning of us. We need to step back."
Aparna presents Self esteem-Why is it so important? posted at Beauty and Personality Grooming, saying, "Go and stand in front of a mirror. What kind of image do you see? Do you see yourself as a confident, healthy, pleasing person? Do you love yourself? Do you accept yourself fully with all your plus and minus points? Are you happy with your self image? If you are not, it means you do not have adequate self-esteem (self-respect).
Besides good health and other basic needs of life, self-esteem is a requisite to keep you happy. Self-esteem is also important for maintaining good mental health. It is one of the major ingredients in the formula for success"

When mistakes become worthy
Posted by LBJirel at 10:25 AMIt is true that everybody makes a mistakes everyday. If someone tells that he/she does not make mistake then this person is lying actually! He/she is just trying to hide his/her self mistakes. However, one thing is clear that the degree of made mistakes varies from person to person.
Your primary intention should not be not to make mistakes (better I haven’t said here) and repeat them but aftermath of any mistake may follow two paths; proper analyzation behind the occurrence of mistake and in time fixing may lead to your better future, otherwise, even a simple mistake may damage your whole life after a series of problems.
Almost all mistakes are temporary and forgivable
Not all but a majority of mistakes are only temporary and we can forgive anyone including ourselves for most mistakes by right away correction of those mistakes. It all depends on us whether to make the mistake permanent or not. Every thing is all about how you deal with them.
Made mistake and don’t know what to do next?
Confident person immediately admits the mistake and look for ways to fix that mistake as soon as possible. Some ideas are given below:
1. admit your mistake
After knowing you have made a mistake, admit it quickly instead of hiding as far as possible. By keeping the mistake secret, you are only trying to commit more mistakes in future and may repeat the same mistake in future.
2. Find reason/s behind the mistake
None of us wants to make mistake knowingly. Therefore, there should have been many reasons for the happening of the mistake. You may privately analyze or even talk privately. Ask yourself; “What were the series of events that lead up to it?” “How was the problem began?” “Where did I fail to prepare?” etc.
3. Search for the solution
Now you know the mistake and causes behind the occurrence of the mistake. Now, it’s time to fix the mistake quickly. You may try on your own or take help from seniors or those who have survived mistakes of their own. Answer; “What did or didn’t I do and should have?” “How can I handle things differently in future?”
4. Don’t make mistakes permanent
As said above, every mistakes is not permanent one if you immediately take steps to correct that mistake immediately.
5. Learn from your mistakes
One very important thing you must do after any mistake so that you are going to do better in the future and don’t repeat the same mistake is to learn from your mistakes. Garry Marshall says, “It is always helpful to learn from your mistakes because then your mistakes seem worthwhile.”
6. Don’t repeat the same mistake
It may become very difficult for you to handle problems if you repeat the same mistake. Make life resolution not to do the same mistake again.
7. Keep moving on
Make mistake if you have already made one only for that moment. Do not let that mistake to damage your whole life today or in the future. Everyday is a new day. Take each mistake as an adventure in your life. Enjoy every single moment of your life. You will have to die one day. After correcting your mistakes, forget them. Just keep moving on…
Remember, you master the same from two mistakes that you acquire from twenty successes (again, this shouldn’t be your attitude). Continue Reading...

From wedding ceremonies to Valentine day, uses of red color roses are increasing with the day by day modernization of the world. It doesn’t mean red roses are only used these days widely. Rather, use of red roses can be found even during Greek time or before then with equal importance. It is believed that, in Greek and Roman mythology, red roses were used a sign of love.
Actually today’s meaning of red roses as Love and Romance came from traditional use of red rose in marriage ceremonies as decorating material and attire. Jiri (Dolakha) and Jirels
Posted by LBJirel at 3:51 PMJiri is located in Dolakha district at an altitude of 1905m from the sea level. Surrounded on all sides by beautiful forests and hills where heavy snow falls in winter, Jiri has beauty to attract anyone! To the North and South, Cherdung and Tame hills lies where snow falls most of the time of year. Jiri Khola, which flows through the mid of the valley of the main river. Jiri Village Development Committee (VDC) is divided into 9 wards.
Jiri- meaning
According to some local people who have done research on Jiri, Ji means tiger and ri means jungle in Jirel language. Many aged people who have been living in Jiri for many years also agree with the view above that there was a thick forest where many wild faunas including tiger used to remain. This doesn’t mean there is no forest and tigers these days in Jiri but of course, their level has been reduced by certain level.
Jirels
Jirels are the main residential people of Jiri. It should be clear here that Jiri is so called since Jirel people live in Jiri.
Besides, people of Brahman, Kshetri, Sherpa, Newar, Tamang castes also live in Jiri in good harmony among one another.
Naturally Jiri
Natural beauty of Jiri can’t be described in words. Those beautiful forests, snow covered hills, green grassland, famous Jiri technical Institute (JTS), fresh air, eye catching landscape are few to mention that makes Jiri second Switzerland in the world. I haven’t felt myself but heard from some people that many diseases will be automatically healed after visiting Jiri. This shows how much people like Jiri. Average temperature here is from 10 to 25 degree Celsius but sometime in the winter, temperature decreases down to -5 or -10 degree Celsius. Almost all places of Jiri receive snow falls at least once a year necessarily.
Jiri as tourism spot
For its wonderful natural beauty, Jiri is developing as one of the main tourists destinations in Nepal at a fast rate. Many tourists go to Mt. Everest area via Jiri. Famous mountaineers Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal and late Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand who climbed Mt. Everest for the first time in the world made their way to the Everest through Jiri. So, Jiri is also called Gateway to Mt. Everest.
• Accessibility: There is bus, micro bus service from Kathmandu which takes 6-8 hours to travel 184 km road. Jiri was connected to Kathmandu more than 20 years ago by Kathmandu- Jiri highway. Though there was direct Kathmandu to Jiri flight service in past, it is postponed nowadays.
• Hotels and Lodges: There are many hotels and lodges in and around Jiri Bazaar that provide various facilities for different people according to latter’s own choice.
Education in Jiri
Though literacy rate of Nepal is quite low, people of Jiri are lucky enough that they have access to education which is not in the case of many people of Nepal. Jiri Higher Secondary School (JHSS) which is the oldest educational institution in Jiri was established almost more than fifty years ago. There are two other secondary school and at least one or in some even more than one primary schools in every ward. It is true however that the quality of education provided may be low due to less efficient teachers, lack of required educational materials.
For those who aren’t able to attend school and illiterate people, special courses are taught. So, roughly more than 85% people of Jiri are literate.
Health status
Jiri Hospital, the second main hospital in Dolakha district is the main hospital of Jiri. Also, there are at least five health posts and a private project called Jiri Helminth Project provide health service to the people of Jiri and it’s surrounding VDCs.
Developed with special attention, Jiri has potential to be one of the top visiting places of Nepal.
It has been four years I haven’t been to Jiri, my birthplace.
In memory of Jiri! Continue Reading...
